About us…
We are a veteran run family farm in Lexington, Virginia. Our passion for sustainable, regenerative farming and animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do.
We are extremely excited about bringing the Dutch Spotted sheep breed to the USA. We are only the second farm in the USA with them and the first in Virginia.
We raise Shetland, Valais Blacknose and Dutch Spotted Sheep, affectionately known as “Spotties”.
Our Shetlands are raised primarily for their amazing fleece which make incredibly soft yarn for knitters and crocheters. Our Valais Blacknose, what else needs to be said for the breed voted the “Cutest Sheep in the World” and the we are the second farm in the USA with Spotties.
Our pasture raised poultry and farm fresh eggs will remind you of what fresh chicken and eggs should taste like. It is not that bland white meat you can get in your local grocery store, it is juicy and flavorful. Our eggs are laid by happy hens who spend their day wandering around near the barn and therefore produce eggs with deep yellow/orange yolks surrounded by shells you have to really hit to crack into your pan. None of our poultry are given growth hormones or antibiotics ever, but they do receive oregano oil in their diet which helps as a natural immune booster.
Each year we offer a limited amount of pasture raised pork. We are now able to offer our pork (USDA inspected) at local farmers markets and through our farm store. We continue to offer our pork to your family in bulk through half and whole pork shares. Message us for details
